Naomi grew up in St. Louis and reluctantly returned in 1992 after 10 years away. But to her surprise, she has created a diverse and fascinating life for herself in her hometown. Naomi's appreciation of St. Louis's diverse cultures, as well as her interest in the arts and culture, encouraged her to share her experiences through video via her site, Culturesurfer.com.
Naomi was honored as a Woman Leader of Culture at a local International Woman's Day event and participated on a panel discussing diversity in the St. Louis area at Belas Artes multicultural gallery. She will be on a panel discussing race and politics in October, 2008 at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Naomi was chosen out of more than 300,000 bloggers as Member of the Week on MyOpera.com for her CultureSurfer blog.
Naomi lives in one of the coolest, more progressive areas in St. Louis, along with her husband and lovebird.
