Amy Gahran is an independent journalist, consultant, and "info-provocateur" based in Boulder, Colorado. Along with her business partner Adam Glenn, she won a Knight News Challenge award in 2007 for the Boulder Carbon Tax Tracker (http://bouldercarbontax.org), a one-year project.

She also edits the Poynter Institute's E-Media Tidbits blog (http://poynter.org/tidbits) and works for many other clients.
