A Lagos community newspaper,web blog/magazine/archive,and broadcast station which would shift the traditional agenda-setting role of the media to the community,and furnish news as defined by that community via print,cell phones,broadcast and the internet.The Media Centre would establish itself as an effective communications conduit between the people of Lagos and its goverment,aiming to demystify the latter,making it more accessible and fully accountable to the community it governs.Lagos would monitor and report itself in every area it deems important to its continued development- education, human rights infringements,crime, commerce, Agriculture, arts,government,the environment,etc-sending and receiving information via cell phone,the internet,newsprint,and television, all of which would be permanently archived.
