Inside, you'll meet mentors and past winners who will help you think through the application questions. Other prospective applicants can also make comments.
If you are looking for people to team with on your project--or if you'd like to join a team, you'll also be able to post a job on the job board and respond to job postings.

The News Challenge site is the place to apply for the contest. Starting September 2nd, you will be able to submit applications to the contest. The Garage is a place to help you prep through coaching and peer mentoring.
When you're ready (after September 2nd and before November 1st), you can transfer your work into the official application from the Garage Apply page.

Yes, everything on this site is public.
Everyone can see project profiles and, if you create an account, you may comment on a project's answers to the three questions (these are from the official application).
We hope that teams will work together and that all of you will help each of these projects grow stronger with your good comments.
Go to the contact form and select the 'request mentor' option in the drop-down list.
Then, let us know who you would like to work with and click the submit button.
We can't make guarantees, but there are so many great mentors here to help, and every project will have a mentor.
